Welcome to the South Coast RYC/RJCC, our 2nd RYC/RJCC of the season! Our fencing community has helped to make these events one of the largest youth competitions on the west coast. This year, we will be holding a REGION 4 Regional Youth Circuit (RYC) with Youth-10, Youth-12 and Youth-14 events as well as a REGION 4 Regional Junior/Cadet Circuit (RJCC) with Cadet events (no Junior). Please note that this is a three day tournament (Friday - Sunday) held over the weekend of March 16-18, 2018. Close of Registration Time Changes: In order to accommodate some of the larger and smaller events, the event organizers have determined to combine Y10 Men’s Saber and Y10 Women’s Saber – as there are less than 5 fencers in Y10 Women’s Saber. That event will now be at 12:00 p.m. Per USFA Fencing Rules for RYC’s, if there are fewer than 5 entries of one gender, events may be combined by age. Y10 Mixed Saber – Saturday 12:00 p.m. The following changes have also been made (Times are close of registration – no event has been moved to an earlier time) Saturday Y14 Women’s Foil – 10:30 a.m. (was 9:30 a.m.) Y4 Men’s Foil – 3:00 p.m. (was 2:30 p.m.) Sunday Y14 Women’s Saber – 10:30 a.m. (was 9:30 a.m.) Y12 Men’s Foil – 12:30 p.m. (was 12:00 p.m.) Cadet Women’s Epee – 3:30 p.m. (was 2:30 p.m.) Y14 Men’s Saber – 4:00 p.m. (was 3:30 p.m.) We apologize for any disruption to your schedules and planning. The changes have been made in an effort to minimize flighting events or delaying events by excess times. Our aim is to have the tournament run as smoothly as possible and have the events start in a timely manner.
