Friday, Apr 13. 2018 - Youth-8 & 10 & 12 Saber Tournament
This competition is specially designed to help young fencers - and their parents - to better understand official tournaments. Event is sanctioned by US Fencing NJ Division.
We retain the right to cancel an event, if there are no minimum of 6 participants per age group. (Y8 has no minimum).
Schedule:
All times are close of registration. All fencers have to sign in with a proof of US Fencing membership. Check in opens one hour before times listed.
Y-8 Mixed Saber ---- 4:00 PM
Y-10 Mixed Saber ---- 5:00 PM
Y-12 Mixed Saber ---- 6:30 PM
Fees:
-Registration fee (nonrefundable): $15
-Event fee:
----------$25 IF preregistered AND paid by Wednesday, 4/11/2018
----------$35 IF paid at the door [cash, check]
Refund requests (event fee only) must be received at least 2 days prior to the event.

Tournament Rules:
USFA rules apply.
Full USFA regulation uniform and equipment are required for ALL participants, including 800 NW saber glove. You can rent some equipment from the club - please notify in advance. Cost $20. Y8 and Y10 fencers can fence only with #0 or #2 blades.
Eligible Birth Years:
Y8: 2009-2012
Y10: 2007-2010
Y12: 2005-2008
Tournament Format:
Y10 and Y12 sanctioned event: One round of pools with 100% promotion to Direct Elimination rounds. No fence-off for third place.
Y8 event: One round of pools with 100% promotion to Direct Elimination rounds [5 touches only]. No fence-off for third place.
Top eight fencers receive medal.

The state of the art facility of the Atlantic Fencing Academy is only couple of minutes away from GSP Exit 109. We have eleven grounded strips; seven for competitions.
