The 3rd Annual Yung Cup: Veteran Women and Men's Sabre Tournament: June 10th, 2018 Last year this was a B1 rated event. This year we are pleased that a sponsor will donate $50 per registered fencer for cancer research.* Join us for top-level fencing + an important cause! Sign up! Dinner Sign-up: You can sign up for the dinner by emailing the organizer, and pay $30 at the door. He earned his Maitre de Sabre certification in 2009 from the US Fencing Coaches Association. His certification is recognized by the 17 country members of the Acadamie d'Armes Internationale, the international fencing coaches organization. Maitre Yung has trained fencers domestic and foreign. His fencers competed in cadet, junior, senior and veteran levels in domestic and international tournaments including the Olympics. The record for his two students over the last six Veteran World Championships include 9 individual golds, 4 individual silvers, and 4 team golds. Wang Yung, the fencer, has been on 14 US Veteran World Teams and has won 7 Veteran World Championships medals including individual and team golds. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Infinity Fencing Alliance is a 3,300 sq ft facility with wooden floors, 7 FIE size regulation strips with state-of-the-art VSM computerized scoring machines and free Wifi. Preregistration closes on 06/3/2018. -------------------------------- 2017-2018 TRI-STATE VETERAN'S SABER CUP This event is one of the tournaments of the 2017-2018 Tri-State Saber Veteran Cup. In addition to awards for each individual tournament, the Top 3 MS finishers and the Top 3 WS finishers in the point standings for the Tri-State Vet Cup will receive awards at the end of the season. The Yung Cup has it's awards. Points for each fencer will be calculated as follows: 1. Each fencer's total Cup points will equal the sum of that fencer’s 4 best results across all Cup events. If a fencer earns points in fewer than events, their Cup points will reflect the results from each of the events fenced. 2. Points awarded to fencers at each event will vary based on the number and letter rating of participants: a. Each participating fencer will be assigned a value based on their rating (U=2, E=3, D=4, C=5, B=6, A=7) b. Each fencer will earns the number of points equal to the total value of all the fencers who finish below them, plus 2 points. c. In the case of Mixed Events, MS will earn points for all MS finishers below them; WS will earn points for all fencers (MS or WS) that finish below them.
