The Royal Melee (Epee)

This is an unsanctioned "best bang for the buck" kind of event. If done correctly we should all sleep very well the evening after and maybe even be a bit sore the next day! We will have a minimum 4 strips, hoping for 6, all are ungrounded. This is meant to be a low key, fun, opportunity to "Epee Out" with other enthusiasts of the blade, all skill levels are invited and welcome. The format will be standard pool bouts. Everyone will fence everyone and highest point count wins, if we have a tie, there may have to be a duel at dawn. Awards will go to the top three places. We will be refereeing from within the pools. Bottled water and snacks will be available at the event and are included with the registration. There are a lot of good local food options within driving distance, but nothing within walking distance; a sack lunch is recommended. If you have a favorite folding chair you take tail gating or camping, it is recommended. The facility chairs are institutional plastic, adequate, but maybe not comfortable; but then again, you may not have much time to sit.
