LFC Memorial Team Tournament

This is the first annual Memorial Team Tournament! We hope to see great response this year so we can grow and expand this tournament in the future. All proceeds from this tournament will go to support the American Cancer Society and the Lincoln Fencing Club Memorial Scholarship. Registration fees will be donated to the the LFC Memorial Scholarship Fund. All donations raised above and beyond the registration fee will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The Charity: This year, the tournament will support the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. The American Cancer Society’s mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. For more information, please visit www.cancer.org The Scholarship: In recognition of those dear to LFC who have passed, we have created the Lincoln Fencing Club Memorial Scholarship to make fencing accessible to all. The Tournament: This is not a sanctioned event but will follow USFA rules and format including equipment checks (mask and lame testing, weapons checked on strip). Fees: The registration fee is $25 per entrant ($75 per team, $100 per team if you wish to have an alternate). BUT because this tournament is raising money for two great causes, put on your giving shoes and get out there to raise donations! You can ask anyone: friends, family, coworkers, etc. At the start of the tournament each team’s contributions will be totaled and seeding will based on the amount raised for the American Cancer Society. Entrants: If you would like to fence but do not have a team, please register as an individual and we will make sure you are placed on a team. Families and friends who do not have a US Fencing membership are welcome to fence. We would love to have you! No experience necessary! This is a start-of-year tournament to raise money for our causes, have some fun, and help our competitive fencers get into tournament mode.
