Take time to verify that your FRED profile contains an up-to-date e-mail address Live tournament seeding and results (during competition): http://www.liveresults.lilovfencing.com ============================================================================================================ REGIONAL OPEN CIRCUIT (ROC) ROC tournaments are open to all current USFA competitive members eligible to fence in Open competitions and to foreign fencers with current FIE licenses. ROC events function as qualifiers to the National Championships Division 1A, Division 2, and Veteran Categories, and may qualify fencers to other events, depending upon classification and status. ROC Regional Points will be awarded to 40% of the competitive field. The USFA Athlete Handbook contains detailed information on qualifying pathways and should be consulted as the appropriate reference document. ROC tournaments are open to current USFA competitive members eligible to fence in Open competitions and to foreign fencers with current FIE licenses. However, foreign fencers are not eligible to compete in USA Fencing National Championship events. In the event that a foreign fencer finishes within the qualifying group, the foreign fencer will be skipped and only the highest-finishing eligible domestic fencers will qualify. Qualification Path to Nationals from the D1A ROCs •Be on the current season’s Division I-A Regional Open Circuit point standings at the regular fee entry deadline for the 2016 USA Fencing National Championships. •Be in the top 8 of the Division II Regional Open Circuit point standings at the regular fee entry deadline for the 2016 USA Fencing National Championships. Qualification Path to Nationals from the DV2 ROCs •Be on the current season's DV1-A Regional Open Circuit point standings (must meet classification requirements) at the regular fee entry deadline for the 2016 USA Fencing National Championships. •Be on the Division II Regional Open Circuit point standings at the regular fee entry deadline for the 2016 USA Fencing National Championships. ROC Points – Top 40% of the competitive field will earn ROC points. Please refer to the Athlete Handbook for more details on points. The ROC point standings are not used for seeding National level tournaments. ROC points are considered seasonal. ============================================================================================================ REGISTRATION AND EVENT FEES Tournament fees must be PAID for entry to be considered complete. If you are listed as an “incomplete” registrant on FRED’s list, you will be charged the walk-in event fee. Fees are based on the guidelines listed below. Payment is made via AskFRED Regular entry period (until August 12, 2017 at 11:59pm EST): $30 registration fee plus $40 event fee (registration fee is nonrefundable) Late entry period (August 13 – August 22 at 11:59pm EST): $60 registration fee plus $80 event fee Walk-in period (August 23- September 3rd): $90 registration plus $120 event fee. REGISTRATIONS AFTER AUGUST 31 at 6pm ET will be taken on site only. REFUND POLICY Registration fee is nonrefundable. No exceptions. The last day to request a refund of entry fees is August 13th, 2017. After August 13th, there will be no refunds of the event fee. Submit all refund requests to jh@lfanj.com Refunds will be processed within 3 weeks after the tournament. On tournament day, fencers who fail to check-in at the registration desk before the posted close of check-in time for their event will be withdrawn from the competition, and no there will be no refund of entry fees. ===================================== SCHEDULE OF EVENTS CLOSE OF CHECK-IN TIMES (subject to change): Fencers not checked in at posted close of check-in time will not be permitted to fence and no refund of fees given. Fencers must check-in each day they compete. We strongly encourage you arrive at the venue at least 1 hour before close of your event registration. TOURNAMENT DAY CHECK-IN • Venue opens at 7 a.m. each morning. • Fencers are required to check in each day they compete • Fencers are required to have equipment checked (only required once if fencing more than one day) • Present to registration desk with fencing federation membership card (USA Fencing, FIE, or foreign federation). Equipment will be inspected and marked (mask, lame (as appropriate), sabre cuffs, head cords, and body cords). Fencers only need to have their equipment passed once for the duration of the ROC.
