Important info: Tournament: Griz Open Date: April 8, 2017 Location: UM Student Recreation Center YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN A RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM (see below) Saturday, April 8 9 AM: mixed foil 12:30 PM: mixed epee Cost: $15 first event, $10 second event. Walk-in registration is double, so register early! Contact: Katt Bragg (bragg.katt@gmail.com, 720-413-0547) Directions: From I-90, exit onto Van Buren St., heading south. Turn right onto Broadway. Turn left onto Madison St. (follow signs for University) and drive over the bridge. Keep left to get on Arthur Ave, then turn left onto 6th St. Go straight and you will hit the parking lot for the rec center. Getting into the gym: If you have a UM ID card, you can swipe yourself into the gym. If not, let the people at the front desk know that you are here for the fencing tournament and they will let you in. We will be in the main gym area of the Rec Center. Bathrooms are on the same floor as the gym, and locker rooms are the floor below. WE ARE REQUIRED BY THE UNIVERSITY TO HAVE EVERY PARTICIPANT SIGN A RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian sign for you. The form will be available on askFRED at least a week before the tournament, and will also be available at tournament check-in. All times listed are close of registration. We will start promptly, so make sure to arrive before those times. Equipment: We will have some extra equipment available to rent at $1 each, but be aware that UM fencing club members have dibs if they need equipment, so try and make sure your stuff is in working order. This will be a self-reffed tournament. If you have spare time and confidence in your reffing skills, feel free to help out.
