Events Scheduled: Saturday, December 17th 9:30am Senior Mixed Epee 12:00pm Senior Mixed Foil 2:00pm Senior Mixed Sabre Preregistration opens on 11/19/2016. Preregistration closes on 12/16/2016. ---------- INFORMATION: ---------- Cost is paid per event, at the registration table, before close of registration. There is no registration fee! $35 per event THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD UNDER THE SANCTION OF THE BRITISH COLUMBIA FENCING ASSOCIATION, THE BRITISH COLUMBIA BRANCH OF THE CANADIAN FENCING FEDERATION, AND SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE CFF AND FIE RULES. EVENTS ARE CFF SANCTIONED. Note: Events will no longer be mixed if more than 6 of each gender compete. This decision will be made after close of registration for each event. ---------- EQUIPMENT: ---------- All entrants must wear proper protective equipment (fencing jacket, plastron, breeches, mask and glove) during competition. Masks must pass a punch test (FIE label not required) and be stamped prior to the event. All fencers must wear a plastron (350 N or higher underarm protector) at all times. Weapons will be checked on the piste for all events. FIE gloves are not required. Foil masks with the lame bib are required in this tournament. Masks that have been retrofitted according to the FIE specifications will be allowed. ---------- REQUIREMENTS: ---------- All entrants must have a current and validated CFF competitive license or equivalent (e.g. USFA or FIE) prior to the start of the tournament to be allowed to compete. Memberships cannot be purchased at the tournament - please purchase your license ahead of time or we may not be able to validate it on the day of the tournament. If you wish to renew or purchase a CFF/BCFA membership, please visit these websites ahead of time and make the necessary payments: https://www.fencing.ca/content/membership-registration Please note that late registrations (e.g. registration on the day of the tournament) will be subject to a $10 late fee per event. ---------- WAIVERS: ---------- The Waiver of Liability Form must be signed by all participants or their legal guardians prior to the competition. Waiver Forms will be available at the registration table on the day of the tournament. Fencers who are under the age of 18 will need to have their parent or legal guardian complete the form and hand that in at the time of registration. There will be signs posted near the front door of the school to lead you to the gym.
