2016 UBC Intercollegiate Tournament

Presented by the UBC Fencing Club. The UBC Fencing Club would like to invite all 2016 Intercollegiate Tournament. This tournament is unsanctioned and welcomes all fencers. Events Scheduled: Mixed Foil - 12:00 PM Mixed Epee - 12:00 PM Mixed Sabre - 10:00 AM -- SABRE CANCELLED DUE TO LOW TURNOUT Events start 30 minutes after registration closes. Registration fee: FREE Location: UBC campus, Student Union Building Ballroom ---------- REQUIREMENTS: ---------- You are required to be a member of a university/college fencing club. All skill levels are welcome. CFF or USFA licence is not required to compete in this tournament. This event is unsanctioned. If you are not a student and not part of a university/college fencing club and you register, we will unfortunately have to remove you from the registration list. If you are a fencer who is currently studying at a university, college or post-secondary institution, but you are not part of your school's fencing club (because your school does not have a fencing club), we can make an exception. If you are a university student but fence at another club besides a school fencing club, we can make an exception. Please contact us if you have any questions or if you want us to manually add you on to the registration list. If you're not sure if you qualify, please contact us. ---------- EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: ---------- All entrants must wear proper protective equipment (fencing jacket, mask and glove) during competition. Breeches (pants) and plastron are optional but recommended. Weapons will be checked on the piste for all events. For UBC fencers: beginners can borrow the club's jackets, masks, gloves, lames, body cords and electric weapons during the tournament. Please talk to us in advance if you will need to borrow them.
