Bellfort Houston, TX 77035 1st Place prizes for Cadet, Y12, Unrated, and Novice Events will be $15 Gift Certificates to the Fencing Store 1st Place prizes for Senior Mixed Open Foil and Sabre will be $100 gift certificate to Southwest Airlines. (Must have 8 participants. If fewer than 8, $25 Gift Certificate to the Fencing Store will be awarded to 1st place finisher) Events Scheduled: Times posted are the close of registration. Registration opens one hour prior to the posted closing times. Mixed Novice Foil 8:30AM.......Y10 Mixed Foil 9:00AM.......Unrated Senior Mixed Foil 11:30AM......Novice Senior Mixed Foil 1:30PM.......Senior Mixed Saber 1:30PM.......Senior Mixed Foil CANCELLED....Cadet Mixed Foil CENCELLED....Y12 Mixed Foil FEES $20 Registration $15 Each event Novice events will be Non-USFA. A fencer qualifies as a Novice if the date of their first fencing lesson is after 02/06/2015. Novice Fencers must have their own equipment. Novice foil fencers will be separated by age at the tournament. Birth Year Requirements Y10: Birth years 2005 - 2008 Y12: Birth years 2003 - 2006 Senior: Birth year 2002 and earlier For Youth events proof of age will be necessary. If you do not have a proof with you at the time of the tournament a legal guardian will have to sign a sworn statement as to the fencer's birth year. EQUIPMENT CHECK INFO Full equipment checks will be preformed. Armory check station and registration will open 45 minutes before the close of registration for each event Format Pools, 100% to Direct Elimination REGISTRATION Current competitive membership of the USFA required (membership will be available at the venue) for all events except Novice. If your membership is not pre-validated, you must be prepared to show proof of USFA membership, or at the door, fill out a membership form. Persons under age 18 MUST have a parent's signature on the USFA form. ***All participants must sign a Waiver of Liability form which can be found on the Gulf Coast Division Website http://gulfcoasttxfencing.org/contact_1.html Fencers under age 18 must have a parent's signature on this form.
