2015 Subway Washington Games

The 2015 SUBWAY® Washington Games July 25-26, 2015 at Rain City Fencing Center Are you itching to get in some fencing over the summer? If so, join us for the fencing event in the SUBWAY® Washington Games! We will be offering mixed events in all three weapons, open to all fencers born in 2001 and earlier. Everyone is welcome - you do not have to be a Washington resident to participate! The SUBWAY® Washington Games is a sports festival that takes place at venues all across Washington. This annual event promotes health and fitness through a variety of sporting events each summer. The SUBWAY® Washington Games includes sports from basketball and baseball to skateboarding, mountain biking and everything in between. With over 20 events this year, there is an activity for everyone to enjoy. As the banner program of the Powered by You fitness movement, the SUBWAY® Washington Games drew over 9,000 athletes and 35,000 spectators, coaches, and parents in 2014. The SUBWAY® Washington Games is a member of the National Congress of State Games, with more than 40 states and 500,000 participants. More information on the SUBWAY® Washington Games can be found at http://www.washingtongames.org. -------- Event Schedule --------- Saturday 7/25/15 10:00am -- Mixed Foil 1:00pm -- Mixed saber Sunday 7/26/15 10:00am -- Mixed Epee Doors open at 9:30am each day. All times are close of registration. There will be separate medals awarded to the top 3 fencers of each gender in each event. -------- Registration Information --------- Registration fee is $25 per event entered, paid at the door. Fencers must be signed-up on AskFRED by 11:59pm PDT on Wednesday July 22nd or will be subject to a $25 late fee. All participants will receive a FREE Washington Games T-Shirt! All fencers must be current competitive members of the USFA or CFF. You may join or renew your USFA membership at the door. Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron, knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed.
