UVic is hosting the 2015 unsanctioned intercollegiate tournament for BC and beyond! Events Scheduled: Mixed Foil - 10:30am Mixed Epee - 12:00pm Mixed Saber - 1:30pm This is a free event open to fencers currently attending any post-secondary institution or are members in good standing of a university run fencing club. Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 fencers in each category. Each event is currently mixed, but may be separated if there are 6 of each gender represented in an event - which may be overturned if the majority wants it mixed. Fencers should have access to at least one spare working weapon and bodywire at all times - but we will not be testing weights or shims. Conductive bibs are not required for foil! If you have a conductive bib, then you will be at a slight disadvantage. Also, fencing pants will not be required, but short-shorts will not be tolerated - please plan to cover your legs, and wear non-marking shoes! We will be fencing in the 1/3 gym at McKinnon Gym - between the bus loop and the fields/construction site - which is downstairs and second from the end of the hallway.
