7th Annual Mid-South Grand Open

The time has come once again to celebrate our 8th year as a brick and mortar club. We've come so far and we know we're going further and to honor that we're going to party like fencers and have a fencing tournament to mark the club's anniversary! In addition to quality fencing and professional staff this year's event will feature the highly regarded Chirba Chirba Dumpling truck to sell food for the evening event as well as a van from the Carolina Brewery to provide beverages for of-age spectators and fencers eliminated a bit too early. They will be with us starting around 4pm for the brewery, 5pm for the dumplings and continue to serve through the gala finals. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for the finals and will include: -a beverage wristband -prime seating with the best views of the evening finals -a light selection of local artisan charcuterie from Rose's Meat Market and Sweet Shop as well as locally sourced cheeses and accoutrements. Wristbands for the Carolina Brewery van are $10 and will be available at the front desk for our guests that are of-age. If you haven't been to Mid-South, we are located in downtown Durham very close to a variety of good restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and even a day spa or two. We are also situated close to the campuses of Duke University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We are family friendly, hire high quality referees and do our best to showcase the best of fencing and would love for you to come join us! Entry fees are $30 for your first event, $20 for subsequent events. We take cash and checks as well as Visa and Mastercard. At the door the cost jumps to $40 for each event entered.
