After May 22nd the Walk in registration fee is $120 + $105 per event Pre-registration is not complete until payment is complete. All registration and entry fee are non-refundable To download a mail in form, click here: http://www.fasj.com/FASJ/Mr%20Ma%20Cup%202015.pdf Eligibility by Age - USFA birth year rules apply as posted on the USFA web site: Youth 14: 2000-2003 Youth 12: 2002-2005 Youth 10: 2004-2007. Senior / Open: 2001 or earlier Eligibility by Points - Youth fencers who are too young for the next age category can compete in that next age category when they are on the point standings for their age category in that weapon at the entry deadline for the competition or tournament. For example, if an athlete is listed on the National Y10 point standings in men's foil at the entry deadline for the competition or tournament, that athlete can compete in a Y12 men's foil competition even if the athlete is younger than the minimum age required. USFA Membership - USFA rules will be enforced. All fencers must be current members of the USFA .You will be asked to show your membership card or other proof of membership to the registration committee. USFA membership forms will be available at the tournament. Format of Event - Y10 - One round of pools,100% promoted to direct elimination tableau, DE bouts: 10 touches in two 3-minute segments with 1-minute break with expiration of 3-minutes or when the first fencer reaches 5 touches. Y12/14- one round of pools, 100% up to DEs 15 touch bouts. No repechage for any events. Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placements will be posted in the venue. Fencers are responsible for verifying and signing their pool and DE sheets. Changes will not be made after fencing commences. Equipment Requirements - Youth 10 fencers must use No. 2 or 0 blades. You must have two working weapons and body-cords. You must supply your own equipment. Awards and Sponsorship In each event, trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers. In each event, medals will be awarded to the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth place finishers. In the open men's and women's foil, open men's and women's epee, and open men's and women's saber competitions, the first place finishers' names will be engraved on the Mr. Ma Perpetual Trophy. (The trophy will remain in the possession of the Fencing Academy of South Jersey.) However, if someone finishes in first place in the same event three years in a row, he or she will be awarded a trophy. All the awards are sponsored by the USFA South Jersey Division, Absolute Fencing Gear, Blue Gauntlet Fencing Gear FASJ and Mr Ma Fencing USA.
