New England Division USFA (NEUSFA) will hold the 25th Annual Pomme de Terre fencing tournament at Brandeis University on June 15 & June 16, 2013. Team registration is CLOSED. Individual registration has reopened with updated fees. No t-shirts for individuals registering after June 1. Host hotel information is as follows: Holiday Inn Express 385 Winter St Waltham, MA 02451 781 890 2800 $99/night including breakfast. Please ask for "Boston Fencing” to receive the discounted rate. If guests require any special room accommodations, they must stated at the time of making their reservation. The group discount will be available until Monday, May 20, 2013. After that, rooms will be released and the group discount will no longer apply. REMINDER: Event Restrictions: You may fence in only one individual event and/or one team event per day. If you are in both an individual and team event on the same day, you MUST present yourself at the appropriate strip when called. Team events may not be fenced out of order. FORMAT: E and Under is 100% promotion from pools to Direct Elimination. Opens are 80% promotion from pools to Direct Elimination. COST Individual Events Registration Fee (per fencer): $30.00 Entry Fees (per event): - thru June 1: $40.00 - June 2 - June 9: $60.00 - After June 9 (Walk-in Registration): $120.00 No entry/registration fees refunded after June 1. Please help us and avoid late fees by registering early! Team Events - Individual medals to top 3 teams. $75 per team event. Team registration closes on June 1, 2013. Payment is required with registration; unpaid preregistrations will be periodically deleted. Your team roster does not need to be finalized by the registration deadline, but we request that you provide this information before the event. Fencers who are only participating in a team event do not need to pay the individual registration fee; however there will be no free t-shirt for this category of participation. The tournament will be held in the Gosman Sports Center at Brandeis University. If you are only fencing on Sunday you are encouraged to have your weapons checked on Saturday; please come after 1PM for this. ELIGIBILITY Birth year 1999 or earlier. In any tournament where children can fence with adults, the fencer must be 13 by January 1 of the competition season (August - July). All fencers must be a member of the USFA or of the fencing federation of their country (e.g., the CFF) Please bring proof of membership. If you intend to join the USFA specifically to participate in this event, it is best to bring your paperwork and join when you check-in. Canadian fencers: We are aware that the CFF no longer provides you with a 'passport' or other proof of membership. We will use the CFF website to validate your membership when you register.
