RYC Region 2, 13th Annual Escrime D'Halloween

Come join us for the 13th Annual Escrime D'Halloween. Sponsored by Lakewood Rec. and Cyrano's Place. USFA rules and regulations followed. This regional youth cup (RYC) historically brings people from throughout the region for a nice variety of fencers in a relaxed and friendly competitive environment. Besides, we always have one of the best RYC t-shirts! (Watch www.CyranosPlace.info to see the design.) Here are the details: Cost: Registration $25, and $20 per event. Late fee if not pre-registered on Askfred.net by Nov 4. Who: Organized by Cyrano's Place and sponsored by Lakewood Recreation. We are known for our friendly, well-run, timely events. This is a GREAT first tournament for the new youth fencer. Need equipment? Let us know and we will make sure it's at the door when you get here! See our 'Bout Committee Promise'. What: This Regional Youth Cup attracts Fencers from OH, PA, VI, MI, IN, NY and beyond. Where: Lincoln Elementary School, 15615 Clifton Blvd, Lakewood OH 44107. The Elementary School is easily found off I 90. From East or West take I90 to Warren rd exit. Go North on Warren road to Clifton. Take a left on Clifton. Lincoln Elementary School is on your left. From South, take I71 to W. 150 rd exit. Go north on W. 150. W. 150 becomes Warren. Then follow the directions above. The School has a wonderful playground out front for the younger non-fencers to be entertained weather permitting. There is a little garden to sit in outside the gym. Parking is plentiful in back of the building and on the adjacent street. Gym is air-conditioned. Events Scheduled: Y10 Mixed Epee Sat. 2:00 pm Y10 Mixed Foil Sat. 9:15 am Y10 Mixed Saber Sat. 1:00 pm Y12 Mixed Epee Sat 11:00 am Y12 Mixed Foil Sat. 12:30 pm Y12 Mixed Saber Sat 3:00 pm Y14 Mixed Epee Sat 2:30 pm Y14 Mixed Foil Sat. 9:00 am Y14 Mixed Saber Sat. 1:30 pm (Y10 must use O or 2 blades as per USFA rules.) Events will be separated by gender at the discretion of the organizers. Pools and/or DE s may be gender combined or separated. All event formats will be pools to DEs, as per USFA rules and regulations. Separate awards for girls/boys in a given event at the organizers discretion based on number of entries. Bout Committee Promise: We pride ourselves in hosting a well-run, honest, quality tournament with great hospitality! We promise to do our best to start all events 10-30 mins. after close. If we can't start an event within 10-30 mins, we will still have fencers done with their events in a timely manner based on their close of registration! Questions?
