SoCal Challenge - Unrated Epee

SoCal Challenge - Unrated Epee Tournament This is the first SoCal Challenge event for the 2022-2023 season. These events are developmental in nature and will provide a great opportunity for newer, and unrated, fencers (and parents) to gain valuable experience. In collaboration, United Fencing Academy and Beverly Hills Fencers' Club will be hosting a series of tournaments. Organizational support will be provided by the Amy M. Fortune Foundation. This is a sanctioned event! All USA Fencing rules apply. All fencers must have current USA Fencing membership (Access Level or Competitive Level) and be 13 years old as of Jan. 1, 2023. Location: United Fencing Academy 21251 Deering Ct. Canoga Park, CA 91304 Events Scheduled: 9:30AM Unrated Senior Men's Epee 1:00PM Unrated Senior Women's Epee ---------------------------------------------- Each event is capped at 42 fencers ---------------------------------------------- Deadline to register is December 10, 2022. Entry Fee is $45 for each event. Payable at door. (cash, checks, QR code for Venom will be available). In order to participate, fencers must be 13 years or older as of Jan 1, 2023 and have current USA Fencing membership (Competitive or Access level). Tournament Format: Single round of pools with 100% promotion to single Direct elimination table. Medals awarded to the top 4 fencers of each event. Please consult the USFA Event Classification Chart for potential ratings to be earned. All medals for the SoCal Challenge series of events are being donated by the Amy M. Fortune Foundation. Equipment Check: Mask and glove checks will be performed. Gloves with holes, rips, tape or loose seams will not be approved. Preregistration opens on 11/13/2022. Preregistration closes on 12/10/2022.
