EPEE will be held at SMC Orlando! 425 S, Avalon Park Blvd. Suite A1-B Orlando FL, 32828 SABER will be held at SMC Melbourne! 5565 Schenck Av Rockledge FL, 32955 EPEE & SABER / 4 tournament series This event is licensed by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and sanctioned by the Fencing League of America (FLA), All fencers must to hold a current AAU athlete membership. The top 3 results out of the 4 events will be added together. The athletes with the best combined results from the series (per age & weapon) will become the SEASON CHAMPIONS and will make history by permanently adding their names to the SMC CUP & their faces to the SMC wall of fame. ALL EVENTS ARE CAPED, ENROLL NOW TO ENSURE YOUR PLACE RATINGS Ratings will awarded by Fencing League of America including youth events. INITIAL SEEDING will be determined by FLA ratings. Check your current rating at http://www.fencingleagueofamerica.org Make a free FLA account using your AAU number and check your ratings and your FLA tournament history. FORMAT All events will use the AAU National Fencing format. (Pools-Direct Elimination) If necessary, events could be combined by gender. All events require a minimum of 5 participants to be rated All entrants should check-in at least 30 minutes prior to the start of their event. AWARDS (1) Gold, (1)Silver and (2) Bronze medals will be awarded to the top four finishers in each event. Additional awards will be given all the way to 8th place. AGE GROUPS (Season Sep 2022 to Sep 2023) -6 & under/Y-6 (2016-2017) -8 & under/Y-8 (2014-2015) -10 & under/Y-10 (2012-2013) -12 & under/Y-12 (20010-2011) -14 & under/Y14 (2008-2009) -CADET (2006-2007) -JUNIOR (2003-2005) Athletes 12 and younger are allowed to participate in ONE age group above their own. Athletes 13 or older are allowed to participate above their age group all the way to SNR.
