AFM Local Y8 All Weapons at AFM Super Regional

Welcome to the AFM Local Y8! Held in conjunction with AFM Super Regional at Santa Clara Convention Center this tournament is a great opportunity to experience a high-level tournament for the youngest fencers in a national level tournament setup! Events Scheduled: Y8 Men's Foil Y8 Men's Epee Y8 Men's Sabre Y8 Women's Foil Y8 Women's Epee Y8 Womens Sabre All Y8 events are on Friday, November 4, 2022 @8am. These events are perfect for not-so-experienced fencers as they will run in a friendly and supportive environment. Please note that the event start times are subject to change. In case the times will be changed an email will be sent. Also if there will be not enough participants in any event (less than 6) then we will combine the same weapon events to give more adequate competitive experience to the fencers. Medals will be awarded to the top 8 fencers in each event. If case of mixed event, the top 8 finishers in this event will be awarded. In order to compete in this tournament a fencer must have current USA Fencing membership at the level which allows to compete locally (e.g., Access, Competitive, Life or Life Installment). Fencer without such membership will not be allowed to fence. Payment should be processed by askFred to be registered. Unpaid entries will be counted as walk-ins and the walk-in fees will be charged (in cash or check only). Event fees: Regular registration - $80 per event if registered on or before 10/16/2022 Late registration - $160 per event if registered between 10/17-23/2022 Walk-in fees - $240 per event, paid in check only. Walk-ins will be admitted only at the discretion of the bout committee based on the available capacity. Refunds: withdrawal and refund requests should be made prior to 10/17/2022. On or after 10/17/2022 refunds will be not processed regardless of the reason. Fees are refunded $70 per event. To request a refund, please send an email with your fencer's name and your home address. Checks with refunds will be issued two weeks after tournament completion and will be mailed to the address specified in the refund request.
