Duel in Des Moines

Join us for a season-kickoff 3-weapon tournament in Des Moines, hosted with the Des Moines Fencing Club and Red Door Fencing! Location: Vine Street Child Care 2501 Vine St West Des Moines, IA 50265 There is plenty of parking in front of the building. Events Scheduled: Saturday, August 27 9:00am - (Unsanctioned) Y10 Foil 9:00am - (Unsanctioned) Y12 Foil 9:00am - Junior Foil 11:00am - Senior Foil 12:30pm - Senior Saber 2:30pm - (Unsanctioned) Youth Saber Sunday, August 28 9:00am - Senior Epee 1:00pm - (Unsanctioned) "I started fencing during the pandemic" Novice Epee Cost: $30 for one event. $10 for each additional event. We will be following all USA Fencing rules. To fence in the sanctioned events (Junior Foil, Senior Foil, Senior Epee, Senior Saber), you will need a current USA Fencing membership of "Access" level or higher. As part of USA Fencing rules, face masks will be required for everyone in the building. Fencers are allowed to remove their masks while actively fencing, but not at other times. Like always, we may update the rules as changes happen (and we know that the rules get changed with no warning at all for clubs and tournament organizers). Preregistration opens on 06/29/2022.
