Join us for the first Arizona tournament of the season! Epee will be on Saturday and foil on Sunday.
Note This is a Old AskFRED event. Registrations and results are all correct, but some other data could be missing.
Event Schedule: August 14th - Epee 9:00 am - Senior Division III Mixed 11:00 am - Senior Women's 12:30 - Combined Veteran Mixed 2:30 pm - Senior Division I Mixed August 15th - Foil 9:00 am - Senior Mixed 11:30 am - Y12 Mixed 12:30 am - Unrated Mixed Event Cap: Each event will be capped at 42 competitors and each fencer may bring only one non-fencer with them (this does not apply to coaches. This will enable us to avoid flighting pools and eases the pressure on keeping everyone socially distant. Location: 1520 E Broadway Blvd Tucson AZ 85719. Parking is limited in front of the building, we recommend parking behind the building, there is a large parking area behind the club which says it is for employees of an adjacent business only, but we have permission to park there. Membership. You must have a USA Fencing membership to be eligible to compete. Generally this would require a competitive membership however this year USA Fencing has made it so members with a non competitive membership can compete in one USA Fencing tournament per season. Given that you probably have not competed in a tournament yet this season you probably still have this option available to you. Masks and gloves will be inspected. All events except foil Y12 will be self refereed and when fencers are refereeing they will be considered to have all the authority of a dedicated ref. Cost: One day is $30 or $20 for SPF members (Note Oasis Fencing and Still Point Fencing have recently merged), a second day is $10. This applies irrelevant of how many events you participate in. COVID Protocols: events will be capped at 42 participants and each fencer may bring no more than one non-fencer with them (this does not apply to coaches). As of 8/2 USA Fencing has confirmed that there is a mask mandate at USA Fencing sanctioned events in August of 2021. As such masks will be required for competitors and spectators.
