Weather permitting, Open to E and under fencers, within Ohio only please. Facial covering under masks required. Social distancing adhered. Non-competitive USA Fencing membership required. (Consider this a 'practice' run in a tournament format. Event will be fenced electric.)
Entry: $30/ event.
Experienced Youth fencers ages 12 and under may either fence in the E and under OR the Youth event.
Preregister by Oct.22 to avoid $10 late fee. Cash or Check. (Venmo accepted at door.)

(Reschedule date due to weather will be Oct. 25 or Nov. 1)
PLEASE NOTE: Venue is a pocket park with a playground area, baseball diamond and basketball court. We will be fencing on the basketball court. There is NOTHING much else there. BRING: Chairs, water, food, portable shade etc. There is LIMITED bathroom access. (However, there is a Jersey Mike, Subway, McDonalds, Target, Walmart and more less then 3 min round trip.)
USA Fencing rules and regulations will be followed especially when safety is concerned. No Ratings will be given out.
This will be a low key event good for practicing competitive skills, or simply trying competition for the first time.
If you want to practice refereeing, you are welcome under the auspices of a certified ref. (Disclaimer: Calls may be over turned by the certified ref if distinctly wrong by training ref.) Please let us know your intent in advance.

Directions: From 422/SOM Center road in Solon, go south on SOM to Aurora/rt43. Go east on Aurora road to Portage rd (First right turn after 'Signature of Solon'. (The park is 'behind' Station 43 Restaurant.) Go to end of Portage. Park is on your Right. We will be fencing in the basketball court. Hint: If you hit Geauga Lake or Four Corners shopping center, you've gone too far east.
