Welcome to the 6th Annual "Murphy's Irish City Open"! This is a memorial tournament to commemorate the Late great coach Charles Murphy. We have St. Patrick's Day prizes, decor, music, and an amazing vibe. Coach Charles Murphy loved fencing, He especially loved Foil. He also loved teaching beginners how to fence Foil as well as Irish culture and history. Pittsburgh's St. Patrick's Day Parade happens the Saturday of the event. The Corsair Fencing venue is 5 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. If you are driving anywhere near the city, leave a half hour earlier than you usually would. First Event is $35.00. Each additional event is $20.00. A rated fencers compete for free. Street parking is free on weekends, so don't bother feeding the meters. Current USFA memberships and regulated equipment are required for "Murphy's Irish City Open". Be ready at check in! Events Scheduled: Open Mixed Foil, Epee, and Sabre. Also We have an E and Under Mixed Foil and Open Women's Foil. Preregistration opens on 02/03/2020. Preregistration closes on 03/12/2020.
