SJSU 2019 NCIFL Invitational Hosted with the support of The Fencing Center of San Jose. http://www.fencing.com/ Tournament Details:
  • This is an NCIFL event and is open to collegiate fencers only, student ID required.
  • Teams are made up of three fencers and can include one alternate; a school can assemble as many teams as they desire.
  • NCIFL bylaws state that team must be mixed-gender, meaning there must be one ACTIVE female and male fencer at all times on each team.
  • Fencers may only compete in one weapon.
  • Novice fencers must have less than one year of experience. The novice event will be fenced electric. We will not be lending out gear; however, teams can share.
  • Fencers can register as individuals, but will be placed in random teams day-of; incomplete teams will be filled in this way as well.
  • Team bouts are fenced as a best of 9 (Bo9) 5-touch bouts. Pools will be fenced to completion: all 9 bouts will be fenced. DEs will be fenced to decision, with the winner being the first team to score 5 victories.

  • Saber 11:00AM
Cost:
  • Preregistration: $50 per team
  • Preregistration closes February 27th at 11:59PM
  • At the door fee: $70 per team
  • Pay by cash only
Doors open at 8AM, check-in begins at 8:30AM. Venue Details:
  • The Fencing Center is located at the following address: 1290 S 1st St, San Jose, CA 95110
  • There is parking at the front and the back of the building. If the lot fills up, you can park in the Walmart parking lot across the intersection.
