Summer National Qualifiers - MN 2018-2019

Summer National Qualifiers! Participants may enter to qualify to attend the USFA Summer Nationals in Columbus, OH, June 28-July 7, 2019. Location is confirmed as Center for Blade Arts! Please see address above. $20 for the first event, or $25 if registering at the door. $15 each additional event, or $20 if not preregistered. The MN Division accepts checks, cash, or credit/debit cards. This is a USFA-sanctioned tournament and competitive memberships are required - high school members must upgrade to a full competitive membership. All USFA equipment rules will be enforced. NEW FOIL RULE: all chest protectors are required to have an additional layer of padding. Div II is open to all fencers born in 2005 or earlier, with ratings of a C or below in that weapon. The Div III qualifier (D and below) is part of the Div II Qualifier. Qualifiers are confusing, so here's what you need to know: The top 25% of eligible fencers (or top 3, whichever is greater) in Y14 will qualify for Y14 Summer Nationals (and Y12 summer nationals, if eligible). The top 25% of eligible fencers (or top 3, whichever is greater) in Div II will qualify for Div II Nationals. The top 25% of eligible fencers (or top 3, whichever is greater) in Div II who did not qualify for Div II will qualify for Div III Nationals - that is, the top 25% of Ds, Es and Us in Div II who didn't qualify for Div II will qualify for Div III. Anyone who is eligible for Div III who qualifies for Div II also qualifies for Div III (ie Ds Es and Us). If you are already qualified, you can fence and earn ratings etc, but you won't be counted when determining who qualified. Please email us if you're confused or want to know what to register for.
