RCFC Youth Team Tourney

RCFC presents our annual Youth Team Tourney Join us for two days of team competition! Y10, Y12, and Y14 team foil, plus Y14 team epee. ------------------ Important Info: ------------------- Tournament: RCFC Youth Team Tourney Date(s): February 3-4, 2018 Location: Rain City Fencing Center Saturday, February 3rd: 9:30 AM - Doors open 10:00 AM - Y10 Team Foil, Y14 Team Foil Sunday, February 4th: 9:30 AM - Doors open 10:00 AM - Y12 Team Foil, Y14 Team Epee All times listed are close of registration. Depending on the number of teams in each event, the event format will either be round robin, or direct elimination with all places fenced out. Each team match will be relay format to 45 touches. Age Eligibility ---------------- Youth-10 -- Born 2007-2010 Youth-12 -- Born 2005-2008 Youth-14 -- Born 2003-2006 All teams may be boys, girls, or mixed, and may consist of 3 team members plus an optional alternate. If you don't have a team to fence on, show up anyway. We'll set you up with one. Please pre-register on AskFRED (see link below) so we know how many referees we'll need. Partial teams may be pre-registered as placeholders. Team names and rosters can be changed on the day of the event. All competitors must be current (2017-2018) competitive members of the USFA or CFF. All fencers must have full regulation uniform, including underarm protector, fencing pants, and long socks. RCFC has these items available for purchase if necessary. All foil fencers at all competition levels must have masks with conductive bibs. RCFC has electric foil masks, mask cords, and retrofit kits for BG "Olympic" masks available for purchase. Epee fencers note: Because a conductive surface can cause an opponent's weapon to ground out, electric foil masks are NOT permitted in the epee event. Two-weapon fencers will need two masks or a mask with an exchangeable bib. The entry fee is $60 per team.
