The Tulsa Touché and Tulsa Fencing Club present the Oklahoma Division 2016-2017 Championships – Foil, Épée and Sabre. Registration fee $15 per person, event fee $20 per event. $1.50 of each registration goes to the Division for directing development. All participants must be pre-registered. You must pay all required fees prior to pre-registration cutoff or you will not be registered and will not be allowed to fence. Pre-registration closes at midnight on Saturday, May 27, 2017. NOTE: Pre-registration closing is one week before the competition. Registration will close so that we can determine and enlist the appropriate number of officials needed under the rules. Please, do not wait until the last minute to register or you might miss the deadline! All participants must be members of the Oklahoma Division. For each event, there must be at least two clubs represented, and at least six fencers participating. If your event is canceled due to insufficient registrations, your event fee will be refunded (as well as your registration fee, if all your events are canceled.) Events Scheduled:
  • Mixed Foil Events (Y10, Y12 Senior)
  • Mixed Épée Events (Y10, Y12, Y14, Junior, Senior)
  • Senior Mixed Saber
The annual Oklahoma Division meeting will take place immediately following the close of the tournament. All Division Members are welcome to attend. After pre-registration closes, we will announce check-in times for all events. This championship is a USFA sanctioned event, and all USFA rules will be enforced. If you do not have a valid USFA competitive-level membership (required), you may purchase one at the event.
  • Regulation fencing pants are mandatory
  • Each competitor must have two working weapons and appropriate cords
  • Equipment check will include masks, gloves, lames. Weapons will be checked on strip
  • Medals will be awarded to first through third place
Division championship trophies will be exchanged. If your club has a Division trophy, please bring it to the tournament. There’s plenty of room for spectators to sit and watch the tournament, so bring your family and friends along. Tulsa Fencing Club fences at Southminster Presbyterian Church’s Community Center, 3500 S. Peoria. The Community Center is located behind and to the south of the main church. Access the Community Center parking lot by turning west off of Peoria on 35th Place. The tournament is held in the trendy Brookside area. Nearby restaurants include Starbucks, Pei Wei, Brookside by Day, Blue Moon Café, Crow Creek Tavern, Charleston's, Sonic, Weber's Root Beer Drive-In and more. Make a weekend of it -- visit the Gem Faire at the Tulsa Expo Square, catch the Tulsa Drillers vs. Corpus Christi Hooks, or come in Friday for the First Friday Art Crawl in the Brady Arts District. There's lots to see and do in Tulsa!
