If no membership provided, fencer has to complete and pay for USFencing membership at the door 2 - Signed waiver. 3 - Proof of age – Birth certificate, passport, or USFencing membership card if DOB is noted on the card. Event eligibility is determined by 2016-17 USA Fencing birth year requirement only (not specific day/month). All entrants' age/point eligibility will be verified prior to the tournament, and any ineligible fencers will be notified and removed from the "who's "preregistered" list. Age Eligibility =========== Y8 2008-2010 Y10 2006-2009 Y12 2004-2007 (or on Y10 NRPS list) Y14 2002-2005 (or on Y12 NRPS list) Tournament Format and Rules ========================= USA Fencing rules apply. http://www.usfencing.org/page/show/695208-rulebook Equipment check required (mask, lame (as appropriate), sabre cuffs, head cords, and body cords). Armorer will be on-site for repairs (for fee). Name is NOT required on uniform. Blades: The maximum blade length permitted for Y10 competitions is 32 inches (Size 0, and 2) Ratings can be awarded, however youth events do not use the E1 or D1 classifications. This means that these events are NR until they achieve C1 level or higher. 100% advances to DE after pool results. Medals awarded to top 8. $25 Gift Card for the FIRST Place from Blue Gauntlet (On the events with 16 Fencers & More) For all RYCs ========== Event results submitted with only 1 participant listed will not result in the athlete fulfilling the qualification requirement. Qualification Y10/Y12 to the April NAC Fencers must fence in at least one Regional or Super Youth Competition in the current season to be eligible to enter the same category and weapon at the April NAC. RYC event must have at least 2 competitors to fulfill any qualification standards. Qualification Path to USA Fencing National Championships ================================================ Youth 10 Championships - New paths Fencers must meet age eligibility above AND Be on their region’s Y10 Regional Youth point standings by the regular fee entry deadline for the 2017 USA Fencing Championships OR Be on the Youth 10 national point standings by the regular fee entry deadline for the 2017 USA Fencing Championships OR Be in the top 65% of your region's Y12 Regional Youth point standing (if age eligible) by the regular entry fee deadline of the 2017 USA Fencing Championships. Youth 12 Championships – New paths Fencers must meet age eligibility above AND Be in the top 65% of their region’s Y12 Regional Youth point standings by the regular fee entry deadline for the 2017 USA Fencing Championships OR Be in the top 30% of their region’s Y14 Regional Youth point standings by the regular fee entry deadline for the 2017 USA Fencing Championships OR Be on the Youth 12 National Point standings by the regular fee entry deadline for Be in the top 65% of their region’s Y12 Regional Youth point standings by the regular fee entry deadline for the 2017 USA Fencing Championships OR Be in the top 8 of the Youth10 National Point standings by the regular fee entry deadline for the 2017 USA Fencing Championships.
