Join us for an exciting Foil Fencing Camp with Michael Aufrichtig, Head coach of Columbia University, an innovative training program designed to prepare fencers mentally and physically to the next level. Space is limited to 24 fencers.

Join us for an exciting Fencing Camp with Michael Aufrichtig Head coach of Columbia University, an intensive training program designed to elevate fencers to the next level hosted by the Orlando Fencing Academy. open to any and all. The space is limited to 12. This intensive high-performance Camp will be held 12/21 ~ 12/23 12/21 1:00 PM ~ 5:00 PM 12/22 9:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM 12/23 9:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM Each day will include: Warm-up Stretching Physical Training including: Footwork/Bladework skill development Personalized Instruction Structured Bouting Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we will be asking those who have symptoms to stay at home. The temperature of every participants and parents (who will be entering the club) will be checked every day during the camp. All attendees will be required to wear masks; we encourage parents to drop off students and pick them up after training. The masks and hand sanitizers will be available during the camp. The registration fee is $500 for OFA members or $600 for non OFA members which includes five days of athletic training, competitive bouting and after training activities. The private lessons will be available with extra cost. During his nine years, the team’s combined record is 386-86 (82%). Columbia Fencing won the 2015, 2016, and 2019 NCAA Championships and won the Men Ivy Championships (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) and Women Ivy League Championships (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020). Michael Aufrichtig is the 2016 USA Fencing Coaches Association Varsity Coach of the Year and Women’s Ivy Coach of the year in 2015, 2019, and 2020. Michael volunteers as the Chairman of the New York Athletic Club Fencing Program from 2007 to the present. During that time, the NYAC has won 21 Individual and 25 team National Championships, fielded 51 USA World Team Members, 11 Olympians, winning two bronze, four silver, and eight gold world team medals and one bronze Olympic team medal. In 2019 the NYAC qualified 7 of the 24 USA World Team Members. Michael was on the USA Fencing Board of Directors from 2014-2016, was the 2012 USA Olympic Fencing Coach for Modern Pentathalon, and served as the 2009 USA Women’s Epee World Team Coach. Michael graduated with a Marketing Degree from NYU Stern School of Business. Before entering the coaching world, he was a senior sales associate at Kintera, an online fundraising platform revolutionizing the world of fundraising in the late 1990s, and a senior sales associate at ASI selling enterprise database systems to association and nonprofits. ========================ABOUT ORLANDO FENCING ACADEMY========================= Our fencing gym features custom 4 FIE Grounded Strips. Our facility includes a classroom with Wi-Fi, and locker rooms. Our mission at Orlando Fencing Academy is to provide an environment that includes physical and mental challenges so fencers can enjoy all aspects of fencing. We put our emphasis on the development of young fencers for recreational and competitive purposes by customizing each class. Our highly qualified coaches will provide intensive training in order to facilitate the physical emotional and mental development of our students. Our classes are held in a family like atmosphere, and our instructors take great care to focus on each fencer individually and ensure that every student’s needs and talents are met. To us at Orlando Fencing Academy, fencing is more than a sport, it is a character building asset to any young person’s developing personality.
