Come and get to experience the Olympic sport of fencing. Either learn the fundamental knowledge of the sport or take it to a new level of challenge and excitement if you already have previous experience.
Salle De Long Fencing is proud to announce its summer fencing camp. Get ready for twenty hours of pure fencing rush and fun. Starting Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23 from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
Age Group: 6+ years old
9 to 10 am Group activity
10 to 11 am Footwork and target drills
11 am to 12 pm Fencing drills with peers and coaches
12 to 1 pm Fencing match/ bout with camp-mates
1 to 2 pm Lunch (bring your own) and video analysis
2 to 5 pm Technical and tactical bouting scenarios with peers
$150 for 5 days (9am to 1pm)
$50 for 1 day (9am to 1pm)
$250 for 5 days (9am to 5pm)
$70 for one day (9am to 5pm)
The fencing equipment is provided to every student (weapon, mask, glove, and uniform)
The student is responsible for any damage to club equipment.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions:
The temperature and oxygen level intake is checked at arrival and departing time (log is kept for reference).
Everyone must wear a face mask inside the facility (face masks available for sale at $5). Face masks MUST be changed every day of practice.
Coaches and students do not have to wear a face mask under the fencing mask during fencing practice and bouting.
Everyone engaging in any fencing activity must wash their hands and/ or used hand sanitizer before, during, and after practice and competition.
Each student is assigned his/ her own fencing gear (mask, glove, and uniform) and must be taking it home weekly to be washed.
The student is responsible for his/ her own electrical equipment and must be taken home after every practice and competition.
Athletes should bring their own personal bottle of water (water fountain ONLY available for refill). Bottle of water available for $.25
The parents should drop students and picking them up at the front entry.
A limited number of people is allowed in the waiting room. During a tournament, a fencer is allowed to bring one guest to the event.
Stay home if you are feeling sick.
The fencing center and equipment get cleaned daily: before, during, and after practice.
