Schedule:
Saturday - Interactive seminar with slide show. LUNCH IS PROVIDED for participants on Saturday.
Sunday - Referee observations during 2-weapon tournament.
Mary Mahon is a long time national and international referee who holds FIE (Federacion International de Escrime) licenses in both FOIL and EPEE. She has refereed dozens of World Cups, World Championships, and Grand Prix events in places like Hungary, Italy, France and Australia doing many finals. Mary also has extensive collegiate, NCAA, and Modern Pentathlon refereeing experience. She has refereed several international events for Modern Pentathlon. Mary is the author of the referee exam, Has contributed to the Rules Committee, has served on both the Fencing Officials Commission (FOC / RC) and the Referee Development Committee, and the Domestic assignments Committee that hires referees for North American Circuit events (NAC’s).

Aspiring referees - Who need to fulfill the requirement for a seminar
Coaches - Who want to reference their teaching with what is being called at a national and international level
Athletes - Who want to improve their game and gain an understanding of what makes a winning action
Parents - Who want a better understanding of tournament format and the
foundation of the sport their children are involved in
Current referees - Who want to update their understanding of rules, right of
way, and need to update their seminar attendance in the referee database
Cost is $100 for Orlando Fencing Academy Member and $120 for non-member. Limited to 20 participants.

Our fencing gym features custom 4 FIE Grounded Strips. Our facility includes a classroom with Wi-Fi, and locker rooms.
Our mission at Orlando Fencing Academy is to provide an environment that includes physical and mental challenges so fencers can enjoy all aspects of fencing. We put our emphasis on the development of young fencers for recreational and competitive purposes by customizing each class. Our highly qualified coaches will provide intensive training in order to facilitate the physical emotional and mental development of our students. Our classes are held in a family like atmosphere, and our instructors take great care to focus on each fencer individually and ensure that every student’s needs and talents are met. To us at Orlando Fencing Academy, fencing is more than a sport, it is a character building asset to any young person’s developing personality. We offer classes for all ages and levels, from beginners to advance.
