Join in on the USFCA National Coaching Seminars. The clinic will offer coaching training with Fencing Masters Vinnie Bradford and Gary M. van der Wege. The two-day seminar will be offered at two levels. An intro level coaching session, geared toward newer/assistant/college student coaches will focus on lessons and preparation for those looking to test at the Assistant Moniteur and Moniteur levels. An Intermediate /Advanced level session will focus on teaching and cueing second intention actions and continuing into the three-choice option lesson on which upper level coaching (Prevot and Master) certification focuses. The seminar will also provide the opportunity for certification testing at the Assistant Moniteur, Moniteur and Prevot levels. These are Internationally recognized levels of professional coaching certification offered by the US Fencing Coaches Assn. Those interested in testing must be members of the USFCA, show proof of having passed the on-line testing for the appropriate level, and show proof of submitting the practical testing fee. Membership and testing protocol is available at www.USFCA.org. University of Texas Fencing Salle. Bellmont Hall. Under football stadium stands. 3rd Floor Saturday. 10:00 AM- 6:00 PM. Sunday. 10:00-Noon Brunch Lecture Session, Trudy's Lone Star Cafe. Noon-1:30 PM, Practice lessons. 1:30-4:30 PM, Testing Thanks to the SOUTH TEXAS DIVISION of US Fencing and the Univ. of Texas Fencing Club for assisting in hosting this event. Cost: $90 USFCA or South Texas Division members with pre-registration. $120 non-members with pre-registration. $80 Collegiate Club Members. $150 registration at the door. Preregistration opens on 01/31/2019. Preregistration closes on 04/26/2019. We also welcome fencers who wish to act as students for free lessons.
