Armory and Weapons Repair clinic by Shane Malachow. Do you have non-functional epees? Don't know how to fix them? Join us on and learn! If you fence, you need to know how to repair, maintain, and trouble-shoot your weapons.

Hosted by Shane Malachow Shane Malachow is a US national armorer, having worked events at both the national and international level. He was the armorer for Indiana University of Pennsylvania for 3 years while pursuing his bachelor’s degree. Within 2 years of starting as an armorer he trained under Brian Rosen, US SEMI member and team armorer, and has worked various events including NACs, Junior Olympics, and a World Cup. He is currently one of the youngest armorers working on the national level. Who: Fencers, parents, coaches, referees, armorers welcome. Where: Nova Fencing Club, 3431 Carlin Springs Rd., Suite E, Falls Church, Virginia 22041 When: Saturday, February 16th, 2019 from 12 pm till whenever. CLINIC OUTLINE: Terminology and Theory Tools and Testing Equipment Foil and Saber Maintenance and Tournament Preparation Body Cords Mask Cords Lames Foil & Saber - Rewiring and Assembly Cost: $15 per participant (parents of younger fencers are welcome to attend at no additional charge) Please, bring tools, parts and weapons to work on.
