Livermore Youth Fencing Summer Camp

About the Camp: ============== Use the summer break to gain and advance your epee fencing skills! Fence a day in a fun, positive, creative, and safe environment. This is a week-long camp, taking place July 23-27, at 2-6 PM each day. This is the camp for intermediate-to-advanced level youth fencers and for new-to-fencing fast learners. In five days we'll work on fitness, agility, fencing footwork, compound fencing actions, good sportsmanship, and strategic thinking, all while having fun. Two+ hours of active fencing every day, with modern electronic scoring equipment on each of the four strips! Location: ======== The camp is held inside at the Robert Livermore Center (RLCC). This is well air-conditioned community center with full range of facilities, including multiple activity rooms, basketball court, waterpark and the competitive swimming pool. There is a great park with baseball and soccer fields surrounding the RLCC, with ample off-street parking, and restaurants within minutes. Coaches: ======== The camp is held under supervision of a male and a female coach, who work together throughout the camp. Our coaches are active athletes with national ratings and holding professional fencing coaching certifications (USFCA), and national fencing referee ratings. What to bring: ============ We provide all the fencing equipment, but please feel free to bring your own if you have it! Come in warmups, sneakers and a t-shirt; boys need to wear an athletic cup.
