"LJFA's" Pre-season Camp LJFA is Proud to Announce our Pre-season Competitive Fencing Camp with US National Team Members. The camp is for fencers of all ages, skill levels, and weapons. The 10-DAY CAMP INCLUDES: Stretching, Coordination, and Conditioning Footwork and Bladework Drills Film Review and Strategy Sessions Bouting Practice with supervised strip coaching Team Events & Practice Tournaments SPECIAL FEATURE: On August 6th, Olympic Bronze Medalist and World Champion Nikolay Kovalev will make a guest appearance at the camp. There will be an exhibition team event challenge featuring Kovalev's West Coast Fencing Team, Eli's Team, and LJFA's Spartak Team. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime fencing experience. CAMP COACHES: Eli Dershwitz-2016 Olympian, is ranked #1 in US and #3 in the world. He is a Two Time World Cup Champion and multiple US and Pan-American Champion. Andrew Mackiewicz- Andrew is currently ranked #3 in the US in Men's Saber. He is a two time Senior National Team Member: 2014, 2018 and a two-time Junior World Bronze Medalist. Andrew graduated Penn State winning two NCAA Individual Championships. Erwin Cai- Erwin is currently the number one ranked Junior Saberist in the US. Erwin is a Junior World Bronze Medalist and Cadet World Silver Medalist. He is a winner of multiple North American Cups throughout his career. Philippe Guy-Philippe is a Bronze medalist at the Junior World Cup team event in Phoenix, Arizona and was the Cadet Summer Nationals champion. Philippe got 5th place at the Senior North American Cup. SPECIAL APPERANCE: Nikolay Kovalev-Individual Olympic Bronze Medalist and Individual World Champion. Dmitriy Guy-Head Coach of La Jolla Fencing Academy. Soviet Union National Champion (1987) and North American Circuit Champion (1992) GUEST COACHES: Geoffrey Tourette-Geoffrey is an Individual Cadet World Champion and Team Junior World Champion in Foil. George Haglund- George is a Cadet World Silver Medalist and former world number one junior foilist. Adrien Thein-Sandler- Cadet World Bronze Medalist in men's epee.
