Note This is a Old AskFRED event. Registrations and results are all correct, but some other data could be missing.
World Champion coach Mark L. Masters guides new competitors and their parents in the tournament process. The clinic starts at 2pm and will end around 5pm-ish.
This practice event will be non-electric, so those who don't yet have their own electric scoring kit can participate. Athletes must have: mask, glove, jacket, plastron (chest-plate required for female fencers) and a practice foil.
NO SHORTS
NO Crocs
NO "sport" sandals
NO electric foils
Fencers will learn how to act as side judges and follow the referee's call, how seeding is determined, how to read a scoresheet and a basic explanation of fencing rules, including the convention of right-of-way and rules governing fair play.
The fee is $40 cash at check in., fencers will be split into groups of Youth aged 8-12 and fencers aged 13+
