This 5 day clinic is for new and young foil fencers with little or no competitive experience. This is Candlewood's Beginner and Intermediate foil Camp. It is designed for foil fencers between the ages of 10 and 16 years old. Call for other ages.
Full electrical equipment preferred but club equipment will be available at no extra charge for novice fencers. Please inform us if you will need equipment or for general info and questions. Call 203-512-8500. Ask for Tom.
Curriculum
Students will receive at least two individual lessons during the week. Additional Lessons will be dictated by camp size and coach availability.
Schedule:
10am-12noon: Dynamic Warm Up and Stretching followed by fencing specific conditioning and footwork
12noon-1pm: Lunch, students should bring their own lunches and may place them in the fridge if needed.
1pm-3pm: Bladework, Drilling, Fencing Games and Bouting.
Clinic tournament on the last day. Parents are invited.
