From August 21 to August 25, 2017, the Vango Toronto
Fencing Center will pleasure of hosting the great Maître
Michel Sicard for a training camp. Maître Sicard is a
former French National Tream coach and High Performance
Director, as well as the current National Team coach for
the French Modern Pentathlon team. During his tenure
as National Team Coach, Team France has won:
– 11 European Championships medals (5 golds)
– 13 World Championships medals (5 golds)
– 4 Olympic Games medals (1 gold)
He will be at Vango Toronto teaching epee, focused
largely on the tactical and technical components of the
game, with emphasis on combat. The camp will also include
some mental training components.
Maître Sicard will be joined by Vango Toronto Head Coach
Andrew Hu, former Chinese National Team Coach, and the
coaching staff will be rounded out by Maxime Brinck-
Croteau, 2016 Olympian, and Marc-André LeBlanc, former
Canadian National Team member.
