FAB Pre-season Competitive Saber Camp

Weekday Fencing Camp for youths 8-14 training in saber. Competitive level youth saber fencers step up their training in preparation for the 2017-2018 fencing competition season. Camp is in session from 9am-4pm from Monday through Friday. Daily instruction includes fencing drills, footwork, bladework, coordination and agility training, fencing games, bouting, and a lot of fun. On Friday, fencers will compete in a tournament and celebrate with an ice cream party. Fencers should wear a t-shirt, long athletic pants or fencing knickers, and rubber-soled shoes or sneakers. It is a good idea to bring an extra t-shirt and a sweatshirt as we are air-conditioned. Fencers should bring their own equipment, but may borrow ours if they are still building their kit. 12-1pm is lunch, time to take a break to eat and watch a video. Campers need to bring their own lunch, snacks, and beverage, or else bring lunch money and we can get from the local pizza place.
