Advanced Tactics is a clinic that focuses on the changes a fencer must make to stay one step ahead of his or her opponent. Focus is primarily given to timing, speed, and variation in technique.
It is very difficult to beat an opponent on one action, regardless of how great a fencer may be at it. Your opponents will adapt , or will try to adapt, and they will adapt with some measure of success. So for you to continue beating them on just one action will be difficult and tiring. You may win the bout, but no be physically fresh for the next one.
The Tactics Clinic will provide different perspectives on how to keep
lead if you have one, and how to catch up if you have fallen behind.
Exercises and discussion will provide different scenarios, where
change in tempo, speed and technique would be appropriate
