Come spend 2 weeks in beautiful Bordeaux, named Best European Tourist Destination in 2015! Join our international fencing community for a high quality & fun camp. We’ll fence under old stone vaults downtown, during the glory days of summer in SW France. --PROGRAM------------------------------------------------ The program includes: tactical footwork and exercises, video analysis, organized and theme bouting, critical debriefings and individual feedback. It will also include two day activities. The camp begins Aug 15th at 2:00pm and will finish at 3pm on Aug 27th with the “Challenge des vins de Bordeaux” competition. 9:30am – 12:30pm - Morning session 2:30 – 6pm - Afternoon session 6:30 – 8:30pm – Evening session --COACHING STAFF----------------------------------------- Sebastien Dos Santos : Olympic coach for France (2004), Brazil (2008) in Modern Pentathlon and for the US Men’s Epee team (2012), silver medalist in 2010 and gold medalist in 2012 at the team world championships. Jean François Di Martino : National coach for French Senior and Junior Women’s Epee teams since 2004. Former #1 in the world, Olympic medalist and team world champion. Fabrice Jeannet : Former #1 in the world, world champion, and Olympic silver medalist. Twice team Olympic champion and four time team world champion. Alexandre Bouzaid : Top 16 at the London Olympic Games and the 2011 World Championship. Cadet gold medalist and junior bronze medalist at the World Championship. Stretches by Antoine Tanguy, Professional dancer. Other coaches will include Dimitri Audren and Alex Auzanneau. --CAMP LOCATION------------------------------------------ Bordeaux Etudiants Club 53 rue Pauline Kergomard, 33000 Bordeaux, France http://www.bec-escrime.fr Airport: BOD --FEE---------------------------------------------------- 520€. Fee includes: 13 days of camp, lunchtime meals, all activities, and the entry fee for the “Challenge des vins de Bordeaux” on the 29th. 420€ for the top 8 seniors, top 4 juniors and top 2 cadets on National Ranking. --LODGING------------------------------------------------ For information on homestays (20€/day), B&Bs, Airbnb, hotels, and other lodging options close to the fencing club please contact us at: leclercq.becescrime@gmail.com. Homestays are the best option for minors, but spots are limited (available on a first come/first serve basis). --TRANSPORTATION----------------------------------------- The city, the hotels and the training facilities are well served with local transportation. Transportation to and from the airport and the train station, as well as team building activities outside the city, will be provided. --TIPS TO GET TO BORDEAUX----------------------------------- BY TRAIN Bordeaux Saint Jean is the name of the train station. It is located 5mn from the club. BY PLANE The Bordeaux airport (BOD) is located 20mn away from the club. It is well served by Air France’s partners (Delta and KLM) as well as by low-cost airlines (Ryan Air, Easy Jet, Volotea and others). The Toulouse airport (TLS) is well served by Lufthansa and its partners (United). The city of Toulouse is located 2:10 hours from Bordeaux by train (20€ one way). You should count 1 hour for a direct bus transfer from the Toulouse airport (TLS) to the Toulouse Matabiau train station (5€).
