Come and join us for the informative Referee Clinic hosted by Abbas Fadel and Vladiimir Lilov at the Courtyard by Marriott - Edison, 3105 Woodbridge Ave, Edison, NJ 08837 (732) 738-1991 Website: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/ewred-courtyard-edison-woodbridge When: THURSDAY, February 25th 2016 from 4.00 PM – FINISHING. Abbas Fadel and Vladimir Lilov are Certified Referee Instructors and are experienced and highly renowned International and National referees. VLADIMIR LILOV is an experienced Foil, Sabre and Epee coach, and is a US National and Reginal Coordinator and organizer. This Clinic is designed to introduce, interpret and discuss the USFA rules and their application, to fencers, coaches and parents. The seminar will thoroughly prepare you for both the online written exam as well as the practical exam. Attending an official FOC-sanctioned clinic is a prerequisite for attempting the written exam. Once a passing grade of (90%) has been achieved on the written exam (both the general section and one or more weapon-specific sections) a referee receives a rating of "P" in each weapon passed. Further ratings improvements (1-10) can be obtained at a later date by being evaluated in a practical setting at tournaments Practical exam will be provided after the seminar as well as at future tournaments. All participants will have the opportunity to be observed and receive a rating at the Steve Sobel SYC and Cadet International Tournament hosted by New Jersey Fencing Alliance on Friday February 26 thru the 28th 2016. COST: $75 per person paid by check or cash at the door, $85 for non-USFA Members.
