Atlanta,3 Weapon, FOC-Certified Refereeing Seminar & Observation, by FOC (fencing official comission) Master Vladimir Lilov & Olympic CRI (certified refereeing instructor)Jeffery Bukantz. Prior to Chayevsky Atlanta Fencing Classic SYC & Regional Cadet tournament!! Vladimir Lilov Co-founder & Sabre Coach and FOC at USFA Maestro Lilov has been a fencing coach for 35 years. He immigrated to the United States in 1992 from the Soviet Union, where he worked with the USSR (1985-1990) and Ukraine (1990-1992) National fencing teams. He graduated from the University of Physical Education at Lviv, Ukraine where he earned a Master of Science in Physical Education and a Master of Sport of Fencing (highest classification in sports in the former USSR). Lilov is one of the top fencing officials in the US (International Category B referee). He has directed at the Olympic Games in Moscow (1980) and in Atlanta (1996), at the finals of World Championships, and at numerous World Cup tournaments. Maestro Lilov is recognized for his ability to instill excellent technique and a modern understanding of fencing in his students. Resultantly, his students have rapidly developed into top national and international contenders Jeff Bukantz The Captain of the United States Fencing Team and a former Olympic fencer and referee. Like his legendary father, Danny Bukantz, who competed in four Olympic Games, Jeff was an excellent fencer - generally ranking fifth or sixth in the country. In 1987, he competed at the Pan American Games, where he won a bronze medal for the U.S. Team. Bukantz has also served as a Fencing Referee at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles and 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Captain of the USA Fencing Team at the 2004 Olympics in Athens and the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and as the NBC Fencing Analyst at the 2012 Olympics in London. Attending an official FOC-sanctioned clinic is a prerequisite.
