For beginner youth ages 6-13. Fencing games & exercises building coordination, focus, decision-making, determination, leadership & cooperative thinking. Great intro for kids new to an Olympic sport also great booster for kids with some previous exposure! Preregistration opens on 05/11/2015. Regular Fee Preregistration closes on 08/15/2015. Fees will increase after that date. This is a great intro to the sport for kids. It's also a great camp for those who have already started fencing, but are not yet competing on a regular basis. We have a very high quality staff, please check out our club staff info and bios at http://www.moefencingclub.com The curriculum will include sport specific games, foot work and handwork as well as fully equipped Olympic style fencing bouting. We will have 1 hour lunch break which will include a video and special session to promote creative thinking. Each day will include a fun competition as we feel learning to win and lose well and building a healthy concept of competition is important in many things. FEE INFO: Please read carefully! Early bird fee in no longer applicable. $500 for full camp if pre-registered by 8/15. $120 if you are paying a daily fee. FINANCIAL AID available for qualified families. Deposits are non-refundable unless you have a note from an MD. REGULAR CAMP HOURS: 10 am - 3 pm EARLY DROP OFF/PICK UP AVAILABLE: Drop off as early as 9 am and pick up as late as 5 pm for an additional $20 per day. Must be arranged in ADVANCE. EQUIPMENT: All necessary equipment will provided by Moe Wen. Child should wear sweat pants, t-shirt, rubber soled shoes and bring a sweat shirt or sweater so they don't get cold in AC after fencing. FOOD: fencers need to bring their own lunch & snacks unless they wish to go as a group with chaperone to sub and pizza place next door, in which case they also need to bring lunch money.
