Mid-South Advanced Saber Summer Camp

Mid-South boasts a highly skilled staff of certified coaches with experience training fencers at every level from beginners to world championship team members. When combined with the largest fencing facility in North Carolina these assets allow us to offer an ideal place to experience a highly regarded, high quality camp where competitive fencers can train, fence, socialize and explore their physical and mental limits. All Mid-South staff will be on hand for our August training camp. Plan for our traditional Wednesday afternoon off with a fun activity and group cook-out planned. Unofficial visits to both the UNC and Duke University campuses can also be planned for out of town campers that would like to get a head start on college visiting. Camp fee is $430 for the week. Take a moment to register for the optional end of camp USA Fencing sanctioned tournament on Saturday. Entry fees are included in your camp registration. We offer home-stays and can also provide a list of accommodating inns and apartments nearby. We are conveniently located within walking distance to Duke University and nine miles from the UNC Chapel Hill campus. Older campers may be able to go off-site for lunch at any of the numerous nearby restaurant locations between 12-1:30pm with parental permission. Other campers will need to bring their own lunch and snacks with them. Full working electric gear is required or available for rent. Bring outdoor shoes as well as indoor training shoes. Please coach recommendation only if not competing or planning to compete nationally in the 2014-2015 competition year! Summer Camp 2015 Payment Policies: Early bird registration runs through February 15. All camp registrations that are completed and paid in full during the early bird registration receive a 10% discount. After February 15th, summer camp spots are reserved by completing registration and submitting a non-refundable and non-transferable $75 registration deposit, which is applied to the total camp fee. Final payments are due on or before the first day of camp. Any refund given will be minus the $75 non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee. There are no refunds for any summer camp registration (deposits or paid in full) after June 1st.
