AFM Presidents Week Fencing Camp is an exceptional opportunity for foil/epee fencers to train intensively under world class coaches. Campers will improve their physical condition, fencing technique and tactical skills in the Bay Area’s newest facility ------------------------- AFM Presidents Week Fencing Camp is an exceptional opportunity for competitive foil and epée youth/cadet and junior fencers to train intensively under the guidance of world class AFM coaches. These camps are designed to provide mid-season specialized training for foil and epee fencers who want to improve their game in the current competitive season. AFM Presidents Week Fencing Camp includes: • physical training and conditioning • footwork, drills and developmental exercises • coached open bouting • bout tactics and strategy, • mental training for success Coaches will work with each participant to improve their fencing skills and provide individual constructive feedback on technique and on-strip strategies to help athletes to adjust their game during fencing bouts. Each athlete will be challenged to think critically and develop approaches and methods to improve their fencing performance and empower themselves in their own training afterwards. Cost: $495 for the entire week with a second sibling discount of 25% Length: 5 Days Dates: Monday, February 16, 2015 – Friday, February 20, 2015 Camp Hours: 9am – 3pm Location: Academy of Fencing Masters 86 Railway Ave., Campbell, CA 95008 Equipment: Fencing exercises and bouts will be performed on electrical fencing equipment, each camper should bring: • 2 (or more)working weapons and body cords, • fencing outfit (jacket, mask, gloves, underarm protector, good shoes) (fencing knickers and socks are optional) • Two changes of clothes (at least T-shirts) to change before lunch and at the end of camp. • A healthy lunch Space is limited so early registration is advisable.
