Registration fees are nonrefundable except in circumstances of extreme duress. Refunds will be processed after the tournament. Mail in the registration form available on the Section Website or go online to http://www.AskFRED.net to pay by credit card. Those paying by credit card must also fill out the waiver of liability (attached in your confirmation email or available for download here) and present it at check in. For minors, it must be signed by a parent - not a coach. Awards given to top 8 for Div I-A events and top 3 for Juniors Original seeding will be based on National Rating (e.g., A05, B03, etc.) with National point holders protected. Initial seeding, seeding after pools and final placements will be posted in the venue. Third place bout will be fenced. All fencers must be current competitive (i.e., Junior, Life, Senior, Veteran) members of the Southwest Section of the USFA and citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Fencers may join the USFA at the door. Please bring your completed USFA membership form and signed waiver with you. If your name does not appear on or if your classification is different from the Current Members List online, USFA cards or other USFA verification must be presented at check-in. Fencers under 18 must have a waiver signed by parents. Waiver may be downloaded from the website and signed by parents prior to the tournament. Coaches’ signature is not valid and will NOT be accepted. Masks, Body Cords and Lames will be subject to equipment control. QUALIFICATION INFORMATION: DIVISION I-A Fencers must be born no later that 1992 AND • Place in the top 25% (with a minimum of 8) at the 2005 Senior Section Championships OR • Placed in top 8 at the 2005 Division I-A National Championship OR • Placed in top 4 at the 2005 Division II National Championships OR • Be the current 2006 Under – 19 Section Champion UNDER-19 CHAMPIONSHIPS Fencers must be born between 1987 and 1993** AND • Place in the top 25% at the 2005 Under-19 Section Championships OR • Be on the Junior (Under –19) point standings as of May 1, 2006 OR • Be in the top 16 of the Cadet (Under – 16) point standings as of May 1, 2006 For further information including appeals process, schedule of events and more, please check the complete rules for qualifiers in the electronic news sent to each USFA member or the confirmation materials included with registration for national events, or contact your division secretary. 2006 Southwest Section Annual Membership Meeting will be held at the tournament venue following the completion of the event on Saturday, May 6th. The agenda will be posted on the Section Website (http://www.southwestfencing.org). Proxies for the Annual meeting must be presented to the Section Secretary for verification by 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 6th.
