FRED Announces the RCFC Women's Open Foil Tournament #2 Women’s Foil Training and Tournament Saturday, April 5, 2003 Rain City Fencing Center Schedule of Events 9:30 am Doors open 10:00 am - noon Morning training Noon – 1:30 pm Lunch break 1:30 pm Close of registration for Women’s OpenFoil Tournament We got off to a good start last month so we’ve scheduled anothertraining session and tournament for women foil fencers. All womenfoilists -– all experience levels -- are invited to participate. Wehad fencers from Vancouver and Portland last time and this monthseveral strong fencers from Victoria will be joining us. The morningtraining session will be an unstructured practice session. Hopefullythis will give you the chance to work with people you don’t normallyget to practice with. It’s a lot of fun! Join us! Important Tournament Stuff Proof of USFA membership (or equivalent) will be required of allparticipants at check-in. Please bring your current USFA membershipcard. You may join or renew your USFA membership at the door. Entry fee is only $5. The tournament will be scored electrically. We’re not checkingequipment, but it’s your responsibility to make sure all yourequipment is working. Full USFA regulation uniform is required, including plastron,knickers, and knee-length socks. No jeans or sweatpants allowed.
