The Regional Open Circuit (ROC) is designed to promote and develop strong regional tournaments for the Open/Division I-A fencer who seeks competitive opportunities beyond the local and sectional level but below the NAC Division I level.
Points are awarded to the top 32 places at ROC events, however, the ROC points list is separate from the National Rolling Points List. (Foreign fencers may compete though they are not counted as part of the field for qualification purposes as they can not fence summer nationals)
The Dean Alexander Memorial 2012 is a USFA Regional Open Circuit sponsored by Fencers Club of Arizona. Those who place in top 8 of this ROC, eligible and not already qualified, or are on the current seasons Division I-A Regional Open Circuit point standings at the regular fee
entry deadline for Nationals with at least 1000 points will qualify for DIV 1A at nationals.
