We'd love to see you come out. 5th Annual Crown of Texas Presented by High Plains Fencing Academy June 9-10, 2007, in Canyon Texas at West Texas A&M just outside Amarillo EVENTS SCHEDULED Fencing will commence on each event as soon as possible after close of registration. Please arrive sufficiently early so you will be ready to fence when registration closes. The venue will be open at approximately 8:00 a.m. both days. SATURDAY, JUNE 9, 2007 Senior Mixed Epee (Born 1993 or earlier) Registration closes at 9:30 a.m. Junior (U20) Mixed Foil (Born 1987 – 1993) Registration closes at 11:00 a.m. Senior Mixed Saber (Born 1993 or earlier) Registration closes at 12:30 p.m. Youth 14 Mixed Epee (Born 1992 – 1995) Registration closes at 1:30 p.m. Senior Women’s Foil (Born 1993 or earlier) Registration closes at 2:30 p.m. SUNDAY, JUNE 10, 2007 Senior Mixed Foil (Born 1993 or earlier) Registration closes at 8:30 a.m. Youth 14 Mixed Foil (Born 1992 – 1995) Registration closes at 11:30 a.m. Junior (U20) Mixed Epee (Born 1987 – 1993) Registration closes at noon USFA RULES All USFA rules will be enforced in the tournament. Please bring proof of USFA membership or you will not be allowed to compete. New USFA membership applications will be available at the tournament. COMPETITION FORMAT Standard USFA pool format with 100 percent advancing to direct elimination, with no repechage. We are planning on having at least 8 grounded strips at the venue. AWARDS Medals will be awarded to the top 8 fencers in each event. Each 1st place fencer will also receive a special award. The top female fencer will be recognized in each competition. VENUE West Texas A&M in Canyon Texas. Vigal Henson Activity Center all purpose rooms. For exact building location visit the universities website at http://www.wtamu.edu/campus/map ARMORER The tournament will have an armory staff to check fencing equipment before each competition and to assist with equipment problems during the tournament. We will be checking mask, bodycords and lames. COST $20 non-refundable tournament registration fee $20 for the first event; $15 for each additional event Fencers must show up and register prior to each event entered. $20 late fees will be collected if not pre-registered on FRED by June 1st.
